What's your photography style?

My photos tend to be on the brighter and warmer side with lots of light. I love capturing a mix of candid photos as well as photos that are posed. My goal is to have photos that are distinctly you, but on your best day. I don't follow editing trends so in 20 years your photos don't seem dated and instead feel timeless.

 

What happens if you're sick or injured on my wedding day?

I have never canceled or called off sick and I don't plan to start any time soon. However in a worse case scenario have no fear, I have many professional contacts and am confident I would find someone fantastic to take my place. I would still edit your photos so you would still get my style.

 

How long does it take to get our images?

For engagement shoots you will receive  a sneak peak of a few images within 24-48 hours of our session. The rest of the photos will come on an online gallery within 4 weeks.

For your wedding you will receive a sneak peak within 24-48 hours and the rest of the photos will come on an online gallery within 6-8 weeks after the wedding.

 

How many images will I receive?

For engagement sessions you receive  about 50-60 photos.

Weddings can range from 400 photos to 800+ depending on how much coverage is needed. On average there will be about 80-100 images per hour of coverage. Usually your favorite 50 or so photos will end up in your album.

How do I make payments?

There are a few ways you can make payments. You can make payments online through ALL major credit cards. You can also make payments online through ACH (eCheck) bank transfers. If you pay online you can even set up reminders for any remaining payments or set it to auto-pay. I also accept checks made out to Laura’s Lenses or cash.

How do the payments work?

To hold your date 25% of your package is due when you book and sign the contract. The remainder is due 1 month before the wedding and there is a $35 late fee for every week it's late. I am happy to set up payment plans if needed to better suit your needs!

 

Do you refund deposits or cancellations?

The initial 25% retainer to book your date is non-refundable. If you cancel 2 or more months before you will be refunded whatever you have paid beyond the retainer. If you cancel with less than 2 months before the wedding I will refund you up to 50%.

 

Can you hold my date for me?

Unfortunately it's not fair to other clients to hold a date without the 25% retainer fee. Once that is paid your date is on my calendar.

 

How do I order prints and additional items?

Through your online gallery you'll be able to order any prints or wall art. These will also ship directly to you (usually within a few days). Items such as albums, or other custom products can be ordered directly through me.

 

Can my parents or friends order prints or other items?

Yes! If your parents want wall art or your friends want to print some of the photos of them from the wedding they are more than welcome to! You can share the online gallery with them and they can order directly from there. Albums and other custom products can be ordered through me.

 

What happens if we go over our contracted time?

A lot of things happen at weddings and it's important to be flexible. That being said I have a 30 minute window of wiggle room. I will be sure to let you know that our time is drawing to a close and you can choose to have me go or pay my hourly rate for which I will send an invoice for after the wedding.

 

What if I want 2 photographers at my wedding?

Having 2 photographers capturing your day is a huge advantage! You won’t miss any moment! You can add a second shooter onto any of my wedding packages. This is especially great if you only want extra coverage during certain points throughout the day.

 

Do you have travel fees?

There are no travel fees within the state of Ohio. Beyond that is a case by case basis.
