How I Started Photography

It all started when I was 13. I have been interested in photography and video for as long as I can remember. When I got my first point and shoot camera, at age 13, I dragged my little brother outside for a photo shoot and played around with those photos in paint to make it look like he was jumping out of a bunch of flowers or like he was playing baseball at a real stadium. Believe me when I say I have improved a lot since then, but the passion has always been there.

In high school and college I got more involved with video and even was the videographer for Heidelberg University.

In my years after college I always found myself straying away from video and moving towards photography. I found time to photograph my friends and it bought me joy to hear their excitement as they looked through my lens. For more about this time check out My Favorite Model.

By doing these photo shoots with my friends I learned more and more about photography and grew to love every part. I started Laura's Lenses because I want to show people how amazing they are. I want them to see what I see. This is what the world looks like behind my lens.

I love capturing real moments, genuine relationships, and inspiring people. My photography has come a long way and I'm excited to see where it goes in the future.
